A. holds EU driving licence and is an experienced and confident driver in the UK. For last 4 years A. has been working for 1 family where she looked after 2 children on sole charge basis as the parents are very busy professionals. A`s duties included school pickups and drop offs, organising after-school activities, helping with homework and school projects, organising play-dates for the children and their friends, taking the children to the cinema, cycling, scooting as well as on 1-day trips (to Hull or Brighton). A. had a big influence in helping the parents to raise the children: “Her outstanding communication skills have been instrumental in changing my introvert 10-year-old son into a confident and independent 14-year-old boy.” On top of other duties A. looked after family`s 4-bedroom house where her duties included general cleaning, family`s laundry and ironing, wardrobe management and cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the whole family. Additionally, A. took some PA responsibilities where she dealt with contractors, booked holiday tickets, doctors or dentists appointments and did family food shopping in shops or online as well as looked after family`s dog, Hugo. Moreover, A. was solely responsible for packing and moving elder daughter to University, or stayed in charge of the children and the whole household for over a month on various occasions while the parents were working abroad. When we asked A. what qualities make a good nanny/housekeeper she told us: “Being organised, supportive, understanding, punctual and to solve problems without any help if necessary.”
